Why does Nepal need to open a mountaineering university? Most of the educationalists who have broad knowledge in mountain tourism are showing keen interest in establishing a separate academic platform related to mountain tourism studies. There are several reasons why Nepal needs to open its own separate mountaineering university that can draw attention globally: 1. Nepal as the Global Hub of Mountaineering Nepal is home to eight of the world’s fourteen highest peaks, including Mount Everest, the ultimate destination for climbers worldwide.
